Sophie is a final year undergraduate student in Microbiology and Immunology at the Université de Montréal, with a specialization in Molecular Immunology. Passionate about the healthcare field and interdisciplinary scientific research, she is particularly interested in the ethical issues surrounding healthcare and research, as well as in how collaborative solutions can be adapted and applied to address real-world health challenges. This perspective highlights the importance of aligning healthcare systems with the needs and lived realities of those they serve. As a Research Technical Assistant, Sophie contributes to a variety of projects, including the Force du RARE initiative, which aims to raise awareness among healthcare and social service professionals about the realities of rare and chronic diseases. She also supports the organization of the unit’s conference series and contributes to various other initiatives.
