Erika graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Arts in religion and cultures and a minor in philosophy, and is curently completing a Bachelor of Science in microbiology and immunology at Université de Montréal. Her diverse course of study gives her various tools in social and human sciences, as much as in fundamental sciences, which will be useful for her future graduate studies in bioethics. Her interests mostly focus on morally problematic situations in the health domain when personal or religious beliefs and values intersect and/or conflict with princples and foundations of our health system, specifically when it comes to Islam and women.
She curently works at the unit as a research assistant developping a litterature review project using human flourishing as a central concept in implementing artificial intelligence in the context of health practices.
