RESEARCH COORDINATOR

We are seeking a Network Coordinator of the Citizen Knowledge and Co-Creative Approaches Research Network (RéSCits). As part of their role, the Network Coordinator will perform, under the direction of the Network and its Director (Eric Racine), research, analysis, organizational, planning, and advisory activities related to all Network activities listed below:.

  • Manage communications (website, newsletter);
  • Plan and organize meetings and events (e.g., conferences, scientific days) in line with the Network’s strategic plan;
  • Facilitate networking among Network members and between the Network and other bodies;
  • Establish new community and citizen partnerships;
  • Organize and manage the Network’s scholarship and grant competition; Facilitate networking among key researchers and foster research activities across various groups;
  • Maintain trusting relationships with partners by listening to their needs and motivations and creating conditions for constructive collaboration;
  • Participate in conferences and congresses and provide support to the Network’s leadership in preparation for such activities;
  • Coordinate research activities among the Network’s various teams;
  • Represent the Network in scientific dissemination activities (e.g., symposia, workshops);
  • Contribute to the preparation of grant applications;
  • Manage the budget and ensure the transfer of funds to various partners or scholarship recipients;
  • Organize and coordinate scientific engagement activities;
  • Ensure administrative and financial follow-ups with members or internal administrative units and partners, including funding agencies;
  • Write and edit (synthesize/translate for broader audiences) scientific content for various target audiences (general/scientific, French/English);
  • Organize research activities, including the Network’s citizen knowledge clusters;
  • Ensure transition and knowledge transfer with the current Network Coordinator upon her return from maternity leave.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field;
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience related to research, project coordination, and scientific engagement;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (French and English);
  • Knowledge of and experience in co-creative and participatory research.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Excellent organizational skills, initiative, resourcefulness, and autonomy;
  • Strong priority management and sense of initiative;
  • Ease with digital tools and technologies, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
  • Motivation and interest in the Network’s mission and activities;
  • Scientific knowledge to support a research network;
  • Excellent ability to write scientific documents in both English and French, ideally including articles or funding applications to granting agencies.

Employment Conditions

This is a one-year (12-month) position to cover a maternity leave.

Full-time regular position (35 hours/week).

Start date: November 2025, on-site.
